So he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing and wrapped a towel around His waist.  After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash His disciples’ feet.  John 13:4-5

Many of us have leadership ability that is untapped. There are potential jobs, opportunities, and relationships all around us waiting to be harvested.  Some opportunities however, only a leader can see.  Like Jesus,  you are leader destined for greatness. You are a leader who will make an impact in the lives around you.  You might ask, how do I begin to walk in that greatness? True greatness happens when we become a servant.

True servant leaders:

  • Put others ahead of their own agenda.
  • Possess the confidence to serve
  • Initiate serve to others
  • Are not position-conscious
  • Serve out of love.

Servant leadership is never motivated by manipulation or self-promotion. In the end, the extent of your influence depends on the depth of your concern for others. Today serve even in the smallest way and ask the Lord to open your eyes to the opportunities around you.
